Desktop

On Desktop

1. Move to the area you wish to paste the text and press “Ctrl”+ ”V” for the windows.
2. For MAC use the combination of “Command”+ ”V”, for copying the information from the clipboard.

Mobile Devices

2. A list will appear on the screen.
3. Tap on “Paste”.
4. Your text or image has been moved to the destination from the clipboard.

Opening Clipboards in windows 10

The new update for windows 10 in 2018 made it possible for the user to access and see the content copied to the clipboard. Provided the clipboard history must not exceed 4 MB to access the clipboard feature follow the steps below

1. Click on the start button.
2. Search for settings and click on them.
3. In settings search for the system option.
4. On the left window pane, click the clipboard option.
5. Toggle the option below the clipboard history.
6. Now, you can access the clipboard history by pressing “Windows Button”+ “V”.

Windows Vista,7 and 8

There are no inbuilt features in Windows Vista,7, and 8 for viewing the clipboard history but these can be accessed through third-party utilities or software.

Windows 2000 and XP

For accessing the clipboard in Windows 2000 or XP, you need to know that the clipbook is called the clip viewer in windows 2000 or XP. For accessing the clip viewer follow the steps given below

1. Open the Windows Explorer.
2. Move to the “Windows” Folder
3. Next click on the “system 32” folder
4. At last double click on the “Clipbrd.exe”

Start> Run> Type”Clipbrd”> Press Enter

Windows 9x, ME, and NT

Windows 9x, ME, and NT comes with the pre-installed clipboard viewer. To access them follow the steps below.

1. Go to the start button.
2. Move to programs.
3. Click on the “System Tools” from the list.
4. At last click on the Clipboard viewer.

The clipboard viewer can also be accessed through the windows directory from the clipbrd.exe.

Windows Command Line

There is no such command in the windows command line that would directly access the clipboard viewer. But you can move the text to the clipboard using the “Clip” command and can later paste it into the notepad.

Windows Power Shell

You cannot view the clipboard in the windows power shell but you can definitely get the text copied in the clipboard using the “Get-Clipboard” or “gcb” command.

iPhone or iPad

Apple does not provide any such feature through which you can have access to the clipboard viewer. But you can access the clipboard on Apple devices using third-party apps.

Android Devices

Google well does not include the clipboard viewer in its devices but there are various other third-party applications that can serve the purpose for you.
